A seasonal, wooden housing of shepherds and loggers widespread in the mountainous regions of the Carpathians was called Kolyba. At the present time, the «Kolyba» name is associated with cafe-restaurants where traditional Transcarpathian and Ukrainian dishes are served. The design and interior of the kolyba are interwoven with a local colour which includes embroidery, ancient tools, hunting trophies, onions and garlic heads woven into braids, which were considered as amulets, and many other authentic details.
